Chelsea's Florent Malouda: We Want A Premier League And FA Cup Double

Florent Malouda is keen to secure a league and cup double but has urged his Chelsea team-mates to turn their attention solely to the Premier League before the FA Cup final in May.

The Blues beat Aston Villa in the semi-final on Saturday to keep alive their chances of the double, and then were handed a boost on Sunday as league rivals Manchester United could only draw with Blackburn Rovers.

With Bolton Wanderers the visitors to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, the Frenchman has demanded focus from his team.

"The double is our objective but now we are in the [FA Cup] final we will only think about the league, without that there's no double," Malouda told the club's official website.

"Tuesday's game is going to be another tough one but we want to win the league. After we win the league we can think about the cup."

The 29-year-old has been in blistering form in recent weeks, awarded the Premier League player of the month for March. And the Frenchman admits he currently feels very comfortable in England.

"There is more experience and more confidence in myself and more confidence from the players around me right now," he said.

"I can score in almost any position and that's the reason why I came here, to score goals. I am really happy and really enjoying my football."

The Blues will return to Wembley in May to play recently-relegated Portsmouth in an intriguing cup final tie. Wembley's pitch took a lot of criticism over the weekend, as players in both semi-finals seemed to struggle to keep their footing and control the ball, but Malouda shrugged off such concerns.

"As a professional footballer I could complain about any pitch," he admitted. "But if you had seen some of the pitches I played on at grassroots, you would be ashamed!

"So I can't complain about this pitch, it's Wembley. Although it wasn't perfect at the start we played very good football in the end and we won."
