Valencia Midfielder Ever Banega Apologises For Bevahiour After Substitution Against Mallorca

Valencia midfielder Ever Banega has apologised for his petulant behaviour after being substituted in the 3-2 defeat away to Mallorca.

The Argentinian was replaced by David Silva 73 minutes into the tie at the Ono Stadi with los Che trailing 3-1 and as he made his way from the field he shoved his way past coach Unai Emery and ignored attempts by the coach to shake his hand.

Emery had demanded an immediate "correction", for what he deemed disrespectful behaviour from the player, at the post match press conference and it appears that Banega has responded to his coaches words.

"I'm very sorry. It was a heated moment, where we were losing, something I should not have done. I apologise to all my colleagues, coaches, the club, the fans. I apologise and will never do it again," he told Canal + after the game.

"I know I made a mistake and never want to commit something like that again."
