Shandong Luneng defeated Chongqing Lifan 3-0 to maintain pole position in the Chinese Super League.
The 2008 China PR champions, who are on the verge of being eliminated from Group G of Asian Champions League, attacked from the outset and former Netherlands Under-21 forward Fred Benson drew first blood for the hosts just 13 minutes into the game.
Li Jinyu headed Lu Zheng's cross home midway through the first half before Wang Yongpo wrapped up all three points for the hosts just three minutes after the half-hour mark.

"After a successful first half, my players were relaxed and looking forward to the coming ACL contest against Sanfrecce Hiroshima," said Shandong manager Branko Ivankovic. "Fortunately, we didn't concede a goal in the second period, though Chongqing intensified their attack."
Shandong now have seven points and top the CSL table after three rounds.

Meanwhile, two second-half goals by Yang Xu and Yu Hanchao helped Liaoning to get the better of Henan Jianye 2-0 at Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium.
The north-eastern China PR side are now tied with Shandong on points but are second on goal difference.
