Nedum Onuoha Believes Manchester City Can Win Derby Game

Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha believes his side can take all three points in next Saturday’s derby match against fierce rivals Manchester United.

After demolishing both Birmingham City and Burnley, scoring a combined 11 goals in the process, the former England Under 21 defender sees the fixture as a great chance to secure fourth place in the Premier League.

“We’re in good form, we’ve scored a lot of goals recently, so we should have a good chance, but anything can happen in a derby game, but hopefully it will be our day next week,” Onuoha told Sky Sports.

“We just need to keep winning our games and we’re in the driving seat for fourth but we need to make sure we get as many points as possible.”

Speaking about the goal he scored, which many in the ground thought was his second of the game he said: “It was a bad pass by me to begin with, but once I was in I backed myself and thankfully I scored.”

With both Manchester United and Arsenal coming next for the Eastlands side, they know that the next two weeks will see whether or not Roberto Mancini’s side end up in the qualifying rounds of next seasons European Cup.
