To play in the World Cup would be ''nice'' - Zamora

Fulham striker Bobby Zamora remains calm over suggestions that he may make England's World Cup squad. The in-form 29-year-old has scored 19 goals so far this season, including eight in the Europa League

Zamora has been instrumental in guiding the Cottagers' march to the semi-finals. He was the goal hero again on Thursday night as Fulham ran out victorious with a 1-0 away win over reigning Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg. Fulham will now face with Hamburg in a Europa League semi-final encounter.

Zamora's impressive show this season has seen critics call for his inclusion in Fabio Capello's England squad for South Africa.

However, the uncapped striker seemed calm when asked by Sky Sports about his World Cup chances, "I don't know, you'd have to ask Mr Capello. It'd be nice to play in the World Cup,"

Zamora also spoke about his niggling ankle injury.

Zamora said, "It's a bit stiff but that's football, we have so many games you're bound to pick up injuries but we'll scrub up, get a bit of treatment and crack on."
