AC Milan defender Thiago Silva has insisted that the Rossoneri can still pip city rivals Inter to the Scudetto.
"I came to Milan to win and I still believe we can win the championship,” the Brazilian international told Sky Sport Italia.
The Rossoneri’s 3-2 win at Cagliari on Saturday kept them firmly in the hunt for the Serie A title and Leonardo’s men currently sit in third place, just three points behind league leaders Inter.
“There are six games and we are three points behind first place,” the 25-year-old continued. “We must work hard and stay focused.”
Finally, when asked about the injuries to Alessandro Nesta, Alexandre Pato and David Beckham, the former Fluminense star insisted Milan had the squad to cope with the high profile absentees.
“Here at Milan we are a family and even when an injured player is missing there is another who goes out there and always does his best."
