OUFC_Champs finished 22 points ahead of closest challenger SHYZIK to claim Round 30 of FIFA World Leagues Predictor.
Like Real Madrid, SHYZIK will be feeling the Barcelona sting. Had he backed Messi and friends to win at the Bernabeu, he would have claimed first place and with it a signed FIFA World Cup™ winner’s jersey. A special mention goes out to predictor newcomer Karl.123 who returned 595 points in his maiden round of FIFA World Leagues Predictor and finished third for Round 30.
Weekend highlights
The Dutch derby between Feyenoord and PSV may have fizzled to a goalless conclusion but the 0-0 result returned an exciting 84 points for backers. In our featured longshot of the week, MLS newcomers Philadelphia Union managed to edge DC United 3-2, claiming their first ever MLS win (75 points). The man of the match was undoubtedly Philadelphia’s Sebastien Le Toux who scored a hat trick to clinch the win.
In England, Burnley beat Hull City 4-1 in a critical bottom of the table clash. The result pushed Hull City deeper into the relegation mire, while Burnley moved above them on goal difference into 18th place. Meanwhile in Spain, Barcelona cantered to a comfortable 2-0 over Real Madrid (57 points), soiling Los Merengues perfect home record this season.
In Uruguay, league leaders Penarol beat second place Fenix (38 points) to go ten points clear at the top. With only three games left of the Clausura, the win gave Penarol the title.
Bayer Leverkusen recorded their 12 draw of the season against league leaders Bayern Munich. The 1-1 result (78 points) keeps Munich two points clear at the top of the Bundesliga with only four games remaining.
