Real Madrid's Alvaro Arbeloa: Barcelona Were Fortunate, And We Won't Give Up Hope

| |

Real Madrid's 2-0 home defeat to Barcelona might have been different on another day, argued defender Alvaro Arbeloa, and the title race is not yet over.

"We didn't have any problems with tension: Barcelona were more fortunate than us and thus won the game," he said.

"The key to the match was that in five seconds Xavi found two passes that won the game for Barca.

"Now we need to keep on fighting and go out to win every game."

He continued, "It's possible for Barcelona to lose, but what we need to worry about is winning ours. There are seven games left and we can't give up home.

"In the dressing room the spirit isn't good because this was a great opportunity that we missed. (Coach Manuel) Pellegrini has now told us to go out and win our remaining seven games."
