Goalkeeper Pepe Reina believes Liverpool fans and players have reason to remain upbeat even if the Reds fail to grab fourth spot in the Premier League this season.
The Europa League is the club's last remaining chance to win some silverware this campaign, and with qualification for next season's Champions League looking unlikely manager Rafael Benitez has come under increasing pressure to leave Anfield.
But Reina, who has recently signed a new six-year deal with the club, still sees plenty of reasons to be optimistic for the future.
"Everybody wants to play Champions League because it is a great tournament but there is a league as well to play in next season and probably a European competition [Europa League] as well," Reina told The Sun.
"It does not matter if we play Champions [League] or Europa League in terms of making a decision, it is just to be at the right club and Liverpool at the moment is the right club for me."
"I am really happy at Liverpool. The supporters and the club are also satisfied with my performance and attitude. That is why we have agreed six more years and I am very pleased."
Benitez's side drew 0-0 with Fulham on Sunday in a potential Europa League final preview that also further reduced the Reds' slim hopes of overhauling Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur for that all-important fourth place in the table.
While disappointed, Reina doesn't want the squad to give up on fourth until it is mathmatically impossible.
"Before the game we knew we couldn't drop any more points and we did," he said.
"But until the end we have to fight and try to win as many points as possible. We have to keep working, no matter if it is difficult or not.
"Credit to Fulham because they were well organised and defended well.
"It was fair enough, we didn't create too many chances like in other games. We tried our best but it wasn't good enough."
