As Juventus sealed a narrow win over Cagliari this afternoon to keep in touch with the race for fourth, coach Alberto Zaccheroni praised his men for a complete performance against the Rossoblu.
“Aside from the three points the great positive was the performance,” he declared to SkySport.
“We haven’t ever conceded as little as today, and I’m delighted with the response from my players.
“The side finally made the most of a weeks work for the duration of the 90 minutes.
“I thought my men created a number of other chances which we were unable to put away. This gives me encouragement for the final rounds of the season.
The coach was then probed as to why he refused to shake the hand of Felipe Melo seconds after substituting the Brazilian.
“Felipe and I have a very healthy working relationship. We say what needs to be between coach and player, and he knows what I want from him,” concluded the coach.
