Guimaraes' challenge for a UEFA Europa League spot faltered on Sunday as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Olhanense in the Liga Sagres.
Rui Miguel put Guimaraes in front after 43 minutes, but Andre Ukra equalised from the penalty spot three minutes from time.
The result leaves Guimaraes fifth, four points behind Sporting Lisbon, having played a game more. Pacos Ferreira are four points further back in sixth after a 2-0 loss to Leixoes.
Leixoes' survival hopes were enhanced by goals from Jose Ze Manel and Christian Pouga but they remain in the drop zone.
Bottom club Belenenses drew 3-3 with mid-table Maritimo after substitute Vukasin Devic scored a 90th-minute equaliser.
Rafael Miranda, Campos Djalma and Takahito Soma were on target for Maritimo, while Jose Miguelito and Rodrigo Lima had twice earlier put Belenenses, who had unused substitute Pele sent off, ahead.
