Ferguson sets sights on title

Sir Alex Ferguson is adamant Manchester United can recover from a miserable week that has seen his side knocked out of the UEFA Champions League and replaced at the top of the Barclays Premier League by rivals Chelsea.

Ferguson wants an immediate response against Blackburn on Sunday when Manchester United have to chance to replace Chelsea, who are on FA Cup duty, at the summit. Blackburn, however, have a fine home record; they have only lost two home games this season, making United's task a difficult one.

Although England striker Wayne Rooney is doubtful after aggravating an ankle injury, Ferguson remained positive despite the three recent losses.

"Three disappointing results in a row isn't something we're used to. But it's happened and we've had to face this many times before. Bouncing back is in the nature of our club and is part of our history," he said.

"We've got five games to go and we need to win them, starting on Sunday," he added.
