Barcelona defender Gerard Pique is expecting a difficult time when he comes face-to-face with two old friends at the Giuseppe Meazza in a couple of weeks' time.
Barca’s Leo Messi inspired an emphatic 4-1 victory over Arsenal in the Camp Nou last night to set up a semi-final meeting with Inter and, for Pique, a chance to face off against former team-mates Samuel Eto’o and Diego Milito.
“I’ve had the pleasure of playing alongside both of them; one in Zaragoza and one in Barcelona,” the defender, who missed out on last night’s clash with the Gunners through suspension, told the club's official website.
“They’re wonderful people and great players. It’ll be difficult to stop them doing their job, which is to score goals. The sentimental side of it doesn’t count because we’ve already played against them,” he concluded.
