Bacary Sagna's agent believes the Arsenal defender is the obvious target for Inter if they sell right-back Maicon in the summer.
The Brazilian international has been strongly linked with off-season moves to Real Madrid and Manchester City this season, and the 27-year-old's agent Christophe Mongai believes if either move is confirmed Sagna will be the player Jose Mourinho will turn to.
“If the Nerazzurri were to sell Douglas Maicon it would be just normal for them to sign Sagna,” Mongai told Italian webiste TuttoMercatoWeb.
“In the next transfer window I expect lots of moves in that position. I have been in contact with Inter but nothing serious has been done yet. It is too early.
“We will talk about it at a later stage.”
It has been suggested that both clubs want to wait until after the World Cup before entering any negotiations, and while Mongai doesn't believe that is the case, he took the chance to reiterate his client's willingness to stay in north London.
“I don't think that is needed because he is already a well known player,” he added.
“Still, I would like to underline that he is happy in London but football is a business and anything could happen.”
