Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger plans to rush Robin van Persie back into first team action against Tottenham Hotspur in the midst of a mini injury crisis at the Emirates according to the Daily Mail.
Van Persie has been recovering after suffering ankle ligament damage while playing for Holland against Italy in November.
The striker has been training at amateur club AFC Amsterdam and Wenger is prepared to risk his star striker in a bid to remain within touching distance for the Premier League title.
Wenger has a host of injuries to deal with to his first-team stars including Cesc Fabregas, William Gallas and Andrey Arshavin.
The Dutch striker has maintained his fitness over the months with gym workouts and swimming and Wenger is prepared to risk the striker with his first-team options so limited.
